Mai Trang Nguyen, MD
Medical Director, Optimus Medical Management Group, Raleigh

Dr. Nguyen is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the UMass Memorial Medical Center in 2001. She has practiced in both Primary Care/Internal Medicine and Urgent Care. Dr. Nguyen's clinical interests include cardiovascular medicine, woman's health, infectious diseases and pharmacology. Dr. Nguyen is a member of the Urgent Care Association Of America and the American College of Physicians. She has received the HMO Blue Quality Award for 2003 and 2004, and Tufts Health Plan Best Practices Recognition for 2005.

Dr. Nguyen lives with her husband and daughter in the Raleigh area. She enjoys biking and traveling with her family. Dr. Nguyen speaks fluent Vietnamese.

Henry Althisar, PA-C

Mr. Althisar is a graduate of Augusta State College with a B.S. in education and a minor in general studies. He also attended St. Louis University's Allied Health Program where he attained his training as a Physician Assistant. His experience as a practicing P.A. consists of Orthopedic Spine Surgery, Family Medicine with Internal Medicine and Pediatric experience, and most recently Urgent Care experience. Mr. Althisar is the father of three lovely daughters who reside in Durham. The entire family enjoys basketball, softball, music, and entertainment.

Jerry Davis, MD

Dr. Davis is a native of Reidsville, NC. He graduated from Wake Forest University and the Bowman Gray School of Medicine. Post-graduate training was done at the University of Louisville. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the North Carolina Medical Society and the Greater Greensboro Society of Medicine. He is active in our community, serving on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations. Dr. Davis and his wife Catherine have resided in Greensboro since 1994. His hobbies include golfing and boating.

Charles Kober, PA-C

Mr. Kober is a 1978 graduate with honors of the Howard University Physician Assistant / Medex Program. He has extensive experience in clinical medicine in primary and urgent care, as well as specialty experience in Oncology, Addiction Medicine and Student Health. A past President of the NC Academy of Physician Assistants, he is active in his state and national professional academies and is a founder of the Physician Assistant Health Program of the NC Academy of Physician Assistants.

Douglas Blevins, MD

Dr. Blevins has over 30 years of experience as an infectious disease specialist and internal medicine practitioner. He is a graduate of University of Virginia School of Medicine. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University Hospital, he pursued a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington, DC. He is an active member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the American Society for Microbiology. His professional interests include developing and testing a unique, expert-based clinical simulation software program used for medical education, outcomes measurement and clinical decision support.
